Research Infrastructure
Research at Teagasc spans the entire Agri-Food chain, from farm production through to food processing, quite literally - from farm to fork. The Teagasc Food Research Programme is supported by an elaborate infrastructure, with on-going investment in buildings, facilities and equipment.
The Teagasc Food Research Programme focuses on quality and safety and food product innovation and is performed in collaboration with universities and research institutes in Ireland, the European Union, the United States of America, Asia and New Zealand. This research is underpinned by state-of-the-art facilities and equipment at two research centres at Teagasc Moorepark and Teagsac Ashtown.
The Food Research Programme also offers support, technical services and pilot plant facilities to the food industry.
